The Cui Lab had a great showing at the BCVS Scientific Sessions in Boston, with two talks and two poster presentations! Dr. Kathryn Berg presented her postdoc work on an evolutionarily conserved population of regenerative cardiomyocytes.
Hyunji presented her work on regenerative proteome remodeling at the Asian Cardiovascular Research Symposium.

A major milestone for the lab — our first R01 is funded!! 🎉 We are incredibly excited and grateful for the support of our research!

Our lab had a strong showing at the Weinstein Cardiovascular Development and Regeneration Meeting in New Jersey! Our very own Dr. Kathryn Berg won the Best Oral Presentation Award — hooray!! 🏆 Eddie and Hyunji also presented posters on their research and had lots of great discussions with fellow scientists.
We celebrated a successful meeting with a lab trip to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York!

A warm send-off for Dr. Lakindu Pathila, who is starting an exciting new chapter as a Scientist at Aldevron! During her time in the Cui Lab (2023–2025), Lakindu helped establish our in vivo AAV screening platform for identifying pro-regenerative factors and uncovered a role for NRF1 in regulating autophagy, work that resulted in a first-author study. We are grateful for all her contributions to the lab and wish her the very best in her new adventure!
